    • The battery is well charged if the voltage reads between 13.1 to 13.2 volts one hour after charging.
    • In normal conditions, charge the battery for 10 hours at the Normal Charging Current value specified in the Specification Sheet that came with your battery.
    • If you are using a “smart” or automatic charger, follow instructions that came with it.
    • Follow the Charging Current specifications very closely.

    • Always properly dispose of / recycle your old battery.

  • Using the Battery:
    • Before connecting the battery to your vehicle, check the voltage of the battery to make sure it is fully charged. The voltage should read between 12.6 to 13.2 volts. The battery is fully charged if the voltage reads between 13.1 to 13.2 volts. If the voltage is lower than 12.6 volts, the battery may need to be recharged.
    • While fitting the battery to your machine, make sure that the voltage and capacity of your new GEL battery the same as marked on the old battery being replaced.
    • Make sure that the battery cables are connected tightly to the correspondent polarity terminals on your new GEL battery.
    • Never enclose your GEL battery in a sealed container, such as a thick plastic bag, to avoid battery explosion. Even sealed batteries have special valves and need to “breathe”.
    • Avoid long term exposure to direct sunlight.
    • Avoid contact with any corrosive substance.
    • Avoid abnormal vibration of the battery.
    • When connecting the battery to the vehicle or a charger, make sure the power is switched off.
